About Katie

Katie is a friendly and sweet 17-year-old girl. She enjoys reading- and will read all through the night if you let her!!! She is a very social child that enjoys going to church and makes friends easily at school. She especially enjoys participating in Youth Activities at church, Mission Trips, and is a member of the Praise Team.

Katie aspires to study Visual Impairment at Stephen F. Austin so that she can work with the blind. She is in advanced classes at school but sometimes struggles to turn in her assignments on time. She would benefit from a parent that can help mentor her with her school-work and preparing for College.

Katie loves animals and does well with other children. She likes to go to her Foster Siblings sporting events to cheer them on! She also loves participating in school plays; this year she hopes to get a leading role. Katie does have some typical Teenage Behaviors; like most 17-year-olds she wants to be in charge of herself and make her own decisions, and she does not like to be told what to do.

Katie's Ideal Adoptive Family

Katie needs a family that will love her and spend quality time with her. She will need a family that will be invested in her future and help guide her through the end of High School, and the new phase of College.

Her family will need to be supportive of her, and encourage her to participate in activities that she shows interest in. Katie deserves to be nurtured and shown that she is worthy of caring attention from a parent.
