From Andrew Holland
I had been on staff with HighRidge Church in Fort Worth for about 10 years and during a sabbatical, I was sensing God speaking to me. As I sought Him, God gave me three things: to travel and speak about God’s heart for orphans and the theology of orphan care and adoption; to connect families in local churches with good, reputable foster/adoption agencies; and to help those churches establish their own orphan care ministry.
I realized that at the end of the day, the church is the answer to the orphan crisis. Psalm 68 says God settles the solitary in homes. So, we have to bring these kids into care in our homes, in our churches.
Hope Fort Worth exists to mobilize churches here in Tarrant County and beyond to make a difference in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children. The time is now to mobilize and care for the kids that are in foster care and to care for the kids who need to be adopted, right here in our community.
